Dr. Libo Liu is a Lecturer in the School of Computing and Information Systems, Melbourne School of Engineering at the University of Melbourne. She received her Ph.D. in Information Systems from the City University of Hong Kong. Her research focuses on the social media, human computer interaction, social commerce, social network analysis and IT adoption. She has published in several major information systems journals including Information Systems Journal (ISJ), Decision Support Systems (DSS), Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology (JASIST), International Journal of Information Management (IJIM), Electronic Commerce Research (ECR) and a variety of international conferences such as ICIS, ECIS, HICSS, AMCIS,and PACIS. As well, one of her conference papers has received the “Best Paper Award” at HICSS 2012. She has 51 publications, including 40 A*/A Journal and Conference papers (CORE Ranking).

She has successfully obtained five (5) internationally competitive research grants. She received an international grant ($127,402) from the Hong Kong Research Grants Council (RGC) as co-chief investigator from 2017 to 2019. She also received three external research grant ($96,637, $35,170 and $39,000) from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) as investigator. Recently, she collaborate Zhejiang UGO Internet Services Company Limited and received a Linkage Project from Zhejiang Overseas High-level Talents Innovation Park (RMB1500,000). Additionally, she obtained the Start-up Grant ($4,000), the Faculty Research Grant ($6,719), and the Research Investment Funding ($7,450) from the Swinburne University of Technology every year.
